The regular monthly meeting of the Town Counoil of the Town of Tukwila was held in the Town Hall on the above date at 8:00 P.Y. The Council was called to order by Mayor J. P. Walkup. Those pres- ent were Councilmen B. E. Baker, E. F. Green, d R :.N t10,r4, :3y.J. Storey The minutes of the last regular meeting were read by the Clerk and approved by the Council. K. and a motion was made that all bills be allowed as read and the Clerk was ordered to draw war- rants for respective amounts. Blankinship for consent to tunnel under street was referred to Street Committee. On motion the petition was granted under direction of Chairman of Street Committee. A petition of Bertha Langenegger for license to dispense 3.8 beer was granted and the clerk instructed:to issue same. A communication from Mr. Gliddenfelt•protesting excess water bill was read and on motion the overage was ordered cut in half owing to faulty meter. protest from the Ladies Improvement Club against a *2.00 cut -off ch rge was adjusted by motion to apply the same as credit on water bill. A oommunication from Shorts Denny in regard to return of payment made by Mr. Van Huyen on assessment on Stewart property. The mayor appointed a committee to wait on Shorts Denny to in- vestigate same. The Mayor announced his appointment of August Theis as Street Supt. The Street Supt. was instructed to look after side- walks in bad condition and repair same. Mr. Fox addressed the Council in regard to his inability to pay water bill at this time and asked that his water be not shut off at this time. The matter was referred to water Supt. Thies.
