HomeMy WebLinkAbout1934-02-01 Regular MinutesThe regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila
was held in the Town Hall on the above date. The meeting was called
to order by Mayor J. P. Walkup at 8:00 pm. Those present were Coun-
cilmen B. E. Baker, E. F. Green, J. 8. Storey and Eli Thompson.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and after correc-
tion were approved.

The above bills were read and after consideration of Finance
Committee were approved and the clerk instructed to draw warrants
for thier respective amounts.
COMMUNICATIONS
The Clerk's Annual report was read and approved.
The Treasurer's report was read and approved.
The Water Supt. report was then read and approved.
The Street Supt. reported repairs on sidewalks.
A communication from King County asking for easement over
water right -of -way was read and referred to the Mayor.
The Mayor reported on Street work done by the Welfare labor.
The Mayor also rerorted that in company with Frank Westly,
the park commissioner, and Commissioner Brinton they waited on Mr.
young of the C.W.A. and secured assurance that work on the Park
would be resumed shortly. He also reported that Red Cross worked
stopped at the time of discontinuing of work on Park had been resum
ed.
The Mayor reported that after an audience with the Seattle
Water Dept. in regard to reduction on wtter service and was as-
sured that immediately after the City Election the matter would
be favorably considered.
Mr. Wynstra reported on an addition in school instruction
force by the C.W.A. He also spoke of the desire to re -elect H.
C. Anderson to succeed himself as School Director and on motion
he was requested by the entire Council to file for the office.
Councilman Green spoke of the advisability of rejuvenating
the dormant Commercial Club. His remarks were endorsed unanimous-
ly and he was requested call a meeting at an early date to effect
same.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 9 :30pm
