HomeMy WebLinkAbout1934-04-05 Regular MinutesThe regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila was held in the Town Hall on the above date. The meeting was called to order by Mayor J. P. Walkup at 8:00 P.H. with a corum present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Clerk and on motion were approved and ordered placed on file. The following bills were then read and referred to the Finance Committee: BILLS Current Expense Fund: August Thies, St. Supt. Salary Trick Murray, Voters signature book Seattle Hardware Co.. Alunduâ–º Wheel J. M. Hall, Treasurer's Salary John R. Walkup, Clerk's, Salary Carry Brewer, Labor on Streets B. A. Foreman, Hall Rent Expense Current Water Fund: Eureka Press, Envelopes City of Seattle Water Dept. Agnes M. Hall, Water Collections Tukwila, Wash. April 5, 193 *10.00 1.00 2.12 6.25 10.00 4.00 3.35 5.50 100.00 5.00 $36.72 $110.50 All bills were 0 K by the Committee and the Clerk was order- ed to draw warrants for the respective amounts. COMMUNICATIONS A communication from Shorts Denny in regard to bill for fees in foreclosing proceedings was read. The Treasurer was instructed to bring in a report to status, df foreclosing proceedings. The Treasurer's monthly report was then read and ordered placed on file. The report of the Water Supt. was read and approved and ordered placed on file. The Supt. asked for supplies in the nature of Corporation Cocks and Shut -offs also water bill Blanks. The Supt. was ordered to supply. himself water supplies and on motion water bill blanks were deferred temporarily. Petition from Mr. Ostrom requesting vacating of Plat of Gun= decker Addition described as lots 1 to 20 inclusive in block 2 and Lot 1 to 16 inclusive in block The petition was granted providing petition grant street 20 feet wide north of Community Park. The deed and contract for Park property was delivered by the Mayor and ordered filed. The Clerk was instructed to communicate with County Auditor in regard to registration pay. The matter of reduction of water rates was taken up and Mayor was authorized to confer with Water Dept. in regard to new rates. The Street Supt. was instructed to repair Temporarily the weq4s-duct on Tukwila Ave. There being no further business the Council adjourned at 9:15 P.M. Approved Iohn R. Walkup, Clerk J. P.
