HomeMy WebLinkAbout1934-11-01 Regular MinutesThe Council was called to order by Mayor J. P. Walkup with the following Councilmen present J. R. Naylor, J. S. Storey, D. S. Dugan, Eli Thompson and E. George. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and a motion was made and carried to strike out reference to special meeting of Novem- ber 10. The minutes were then approved as ammended and ordered filed. The minutes of the special meeting of November 10 were then read and approved. The Treasurer's report was read and approved. The County Treas- urer monthly report was read and ordered filed. The report of the Water Supt. was read, approved and ordered filed. BILLS OUrrent Expense J. M. Hall, Treasurer's Salary 6.25 Atlas Concrete Pipe Co. 15.57 Helen M. Cumming, Registration 4.20 Chas. Colipy, Hauling 18.00 Stoneway Dock Co. Road Gravel 194.70 August Thies, Salary St. Supt. 10.00 John R. Walkup, Clerk's Salary 10.00 B. A. Foreman, Hall Rent (2 meetings) 5.00 $2 Water Fund August Thies, Salary Expense Agnes Hall, Water Collections The above bills were then read and referred to the Finnance Com- mittee. The bills were approved and the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants for their respective amounts COMMUNICATIONS Councilman Naylor reported that the viaduct on Tukwila Ave. was unsafe and should either be repaired or abandoned. Councilman Thomp- son offered a motion that the viaduct be abandoned and the same was carried. The Street Supt. was instructed to remove and salvage any lumber that might be used. The Playground Committee was instructed to make a survey of lo- cation for proposed Town Hall. Mr. Hasbrook being present requested the return of petition call- ing for special election on disincorporation. The Mayor stated the petition was part of the record of the Town and could not be surrendered Approved: On motion the Council adjourned at 9:40 P.M. J. R.
