HomeMy WebLinkAbout1935-05-02 Regular Minutes Council Called to order by Mayor J,P. Walkup with the following Councilmen present: J. S. Storey, J. R. Naylor, Eli Thomsen and D. S. Dugan. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and ap- proved and ordered filed. The minutes of the special meeting were read and ap- proved. The following bills were read and referred to the fin- ance committee. BILLS Current Expense Fund: August Thies, Salary St. Supt. $10.00 J. M. Hall, Treasurer's Salary 6.25 John R. Walkup, Clerk's Salary 10.00 James Cumming, Labor 8.00 H. L. Beach, 10.00 Ted Molitor, 12.00 B.A. Foreman, Hall Rent Supplies 7.95 Washington Associated Cities, Dues 10.00 Current Water Fund: City of Seattle, Water Service Agnes M. Hall, Water Collections August Thies, Salary Expense J. C. Bowles Co., .Supplies State Tax Comrrission, Sales tax ed filed. ed filed. May 2, 1935. 97.00 5.00 31.51 1.64 18.47 474.20 4153.62 After examination all bills were allowed and the Clerk was instruoted to draw warrants for their respective amounts. The Treasurer's report was read and approved and order& The County Treasurer's report was read and approved and ordered filed. The Water Supt. report was read and approved and orderA A motion was made that the Treasurer take up $100.00 Utility Bonds due the City of Seattle. The Motion carried. Mr. Thies was instructed to bring in tentative plans for a Town Hall building. Motion was made that the water rates be reduced immediately. On roll call the motion was declared lost being two to two. The discussion was then put over until next regular meeting and the Clerk instructed to prepare an ordinance or resolution reducing the rates to $l.50 per month. Clerk was requested to communicate with P. S. L. P Co. regarding clearing out ditch along right -of -way of Transmission line. Attest: The Water Committee was instructed to check up water bills.
