HomeMy WebLinkAbout1936-01-13 Special MinutesA special meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila was held in the Town Hall on the above date at 8 P.Z. Was called to order by Mayor Walkup for the purpose of considering ways and means of carrying on the W.P.A. project. The full roster of Councilmen was present as follows: D.S. Duggan, J.S. Storey, J.R. Naylor, Eli Thom- sen, A.H. Heemink. After discussion of several phases of the pro- ject the question of handling gravel and dirt disclosed that no means had been provided so far for this purpose. The consensus of opinion was in favor of the town acquiring a dump truck. Motion made to buy truck to handle general work of W.P.A. project. The Mayor directed vote by roll call with the following result: Duggan Yes Storey Yes Naylor Yes Thomsen Yes Heemink Yes Motion made to buy Chevelet dump truck subject to necessary time for trial. Voting by roll call as follows: Duggan No Storey Yes Naylor Yes Thomsen Yes Heemink No Council adjourned at 9 -40 P.M. Attest: Ma Tukwila, Washington. January 13, 1936.
