AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING ALL MEATS SOLD, OFFERED FOR SALE,
OR EXPOSED FOR SALE FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION, WITHIN THE CORPORATE
LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA TO HAVE BEEN PREVIOUS
LY OFFICIALLY INSPECTED,. DECLARING ANY VIOLATION THEREOF TO
BE A. MISDEMEANOR AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION
THEREOF.
The Town Council of the Town of Tukwila do ordain as
follows
Section i. That this ordinance is deemed expedient and
necessary to maintain the peace, good government and welfare
of the Town of Tukwila, and its trade, commerce and manu-
facture, and the health of the inhabitants. of said town.
Section 2. That it shall be unlawful for any person to
selI,„offer or expose, for sale for human consumplIon within
the corporate limits of the Town of Tukwila, Washington,
any nteat,raw, pickled, or smoked; or any products thereof,
unless such meat or the products thereof, has been inspected,
stamped and certified as to its fitness for human food by an
authorized inspector or the Bureau of Animal. Industry,United
States Department of Agriculture, or by an approved Veterinary
Inspector of the State of Washington as provided by the rules
and regulation of the State Board of Health.
Section 5. That any person who shall violate the provisions
of Section two of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by
a fine of not more than one hundred and no /I00 ($100.00) doll-
ars or by imprisonment for a term of not more than thirty (30)
days or both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
five (5) days from and after its passage,and approval and pub-
lication as required by law.
