The regular meeting of the Town Council of Tukwila, Wash. met in
regular session in the Town Hall and was called to order by Mayor
Walkup, with the following councilmen present: S. J. Storey, D.S.
Duggan, Eli Thomsen.
The report of the Water Superintendent was read and approved.
The report of the Treasurer was read and approved.
Upon motion the following bills were approved:

A letter was read from the Washington Public Ownership League
asking for a resolution of protest on certain rates to be chark4d
at Bonneville Dam. After due consideration motion was made that
no action be taken.
Upon motion Mayor Walkup was named delegate to Convention of
Association Washington Cities at Bellingham, with expenses paid.
A petition from a group of about one hundred seventy boys and
girls asking that nets be secured for the tennie courts in the
park was read. Mayor Walkup assured them the matter would be
taken up at once. Mi. Gunsel of Poster at this point presented
the park with a net for which Mayor Walkup expressed the thanks
of the boys and girls and the Council.
Mayor Walkup reported that there was still some money in the park
fund, enough for a second net. Motion made that the money be
used for this purpose.
The Clerk was instructed to get grader on the streets at earliest
possible moment.
Mr. Smith, State Examiner, appeared before the Council and gave a
very instructive talk on the condition of the Town's affairs,
with very favorable comment on its financial condition.
Council adjourned at 9:35.
