April 1, 2025, 6:00pm Location: Tukwila Community Center
1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:03 PM
2. Roll Call
a. Board Members: Cynthia Chesak, Verna Seal, Crystal Lyons,

• Absent: Steve Miller, Marie Parrish, Gerie Ventura
a. Staff:
• City of Tukwila Staff: John Dunn, Recreation Superintendent
• King County Library System Staff: Steven Bailey, Library Services Manager; Mary Sue
Houser, Regional Manager
3. Land Acknowledgement — Cynthia Chesak read the land acknowledgement:

4. Approval of Agenda and Minutes — March 4, 2025
a. Agenda: Verna Seal motioned to approve the agenda. Robin Boland seconded the motion to
approve the agenda; all were in favor.
b. Minutes: Verna Seal motioned to approve the minutes. Crystal Lyons seconded the motion to
approve the minutes; all were in favor.
5. Public Comment: No public comments
6. Unfinished Business
a. Little Library update —John Dunn reported the final Little Library was installed and stocked at
the Cascade View Elementary pathway. Board members discussed the potential of having a
work party to paint some of the libraries.
b. 2024 wrap up — Verna Seal reported she is finishing up the report. Will be completed by next
meeting.

c. Website Project — John Dunn shared the layout and content was delivered to the web designer.
He was busy the last couple of weeks and has not completed the website yet.
