PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, the Municipal Clerk, is a time honored and vital part of local government
existing throughout the world; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Clerk profession is the oldest among public servants; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Clerk provides a professional link between residents, the
local governing bodies and agencies of government at other levels; and
WHEREAS, Municipal Clerks have pledged to be ever mindful of their neutrality and
impartiality, rendering equal service to all; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Clerk serves as the information center on functions of local
government and community; and
WHEREAS, Municipal Clerk members continually strive to improve through
participation in education programs, seminars, workshops and meetings of their
regional, state and international professional organizations; and
WHEREAS, it is most appropriate that we acknowledge the accomplishments of our
own City Clerk's Office;
NOW THEREFORE, I, Thomas McLeod, Mayor of the City of Tukwila, do hereby
proclaim May 4 - May 10, 2025, as:
Municipal Clerk's Week
in the City of Tukwila in recognition of our outstanding City Clerk's Office.
