The regular meeting of the Council cf the Town of Tukwila was
called to order by Mayor Walkup with the fol] owing Councilmen
present: J. R. Naylor, ?;li Thomsen, Councilman -elect J.S. Storey.
Councilman Storey, having.been absent from the June meeting, was
called upon by Mayor Walkup to take the oath of office.
The report of the Water Superintendent was read and approved.
The report of the Treasurer was read and approved.
TTpon motion the following bills were approved:

The matter of consolidating the positions of Water Superintend-
ent, Street Superintendent and Clerk was discussed. The Clerk
had all ordinances ready to cover this and upon motion Ordinance
No. 148 entitled "An Ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 146 of the
Town of Tukwila entitled 'An ordinance revising Section 3 of
Ordinance ]To. 129 of the Town of Tukwila was introduced for
its first reading. Upon motion it was read by title only a second
and third time and final passage.
Ordinance ''To. 149 entitled "An Ordinance revising Section 4 of
Ordinance 70. 140 of the Town of. Tukwila" was introduced for its.
first reading,and upon motion was read by title only a second
and third time and final passage.
On Motion Ordinance ?'o. 150 entitled "An Ordinance providing for
the storage of gasoline in the ''own of Tukwila, "'ashingten, and
providing penalties for the violation thereof" was pl aced on
its first reading; it was then placed on its second and third
reading by title only and thence to final passage.
R. _7. Latimer was ap inted by Mayor 7aliup to the following
offices: Water Superintendent and Street Superintendent to
succeed August Thies, Town Clerk to succeed James Cumming.
Mayor ;7alkup declared the council post of F. 7. ?Teemi nk vacant,
due to absence for more than three regular. meetings. On motion
August Thies was named to fill out the unexpired term.
Mayor 7alkup announced that he would not appoint the full roster
of Committees at this time; however, he named the following to y
serve on the water committee: August Thies, J. Storey, 3. 'D.#
Naylor.
