elections fall into a category of

As voters we sometimes forget

reflected in other elections that
fellow. Recently we lost a
School election, not because of
an unfavo.'able vote but because
it is required that 40 percent -'of
the people voting in the last
General election hust vote in a
Special election. -This--Special
election was lost but through the
action of the School Board is
being submitted to the voters
again on May 23, 1961. .
Presently Washington State is
experiencing one of the most
rapid pop a.ation increases of any
Western State. This increase is
largely in the Seattle Metropoli-

tracted will increase our in-
dustrial tax base. This in-
crease will_ substantially help to
support our schools and our build-

Tukwila schools were consolidat
ed with School District 406 more
than thirty years ago. Since
that time the people of our town
have voted for and supported many
school levies and bond issues.
Schools have been built through_
out the district but this is your
first opportunity to 'vote for one
to be built here in your town.
If we are to prosper we need
industry, we need jobs, we need
schools. This is your opportunl'.

hundred more votes in the May 23
Election. Will you do your part
and help us to realize our goals?
