Ekcerpts from the Town Council Meeting
Minutes for February.
The regular meeting of the Tukwila
Town Council was called to order by
the Mayor, Charles 0. Baker, at 8 P.M.
Councilmen present were Stan llinkler
A.G. Radford, Ttinn Anderson, R.K.Doyle
and Stan Smith..
Mayor Baker stated that at the meet-
ing of January 11, 1960, the Council
had considered the recommendation ..of
the Planning :Commission for a repone
to C-1 of all that area lying immed-
iately to the north and adjacent to
So. 154th St. which is presently zoned
There were only four members of the
Council present at the meeting of Jan.
11th and :two voted for the rezoning
and two voted against the rezoning;;;.
therefore Mayor Baker stated he would
not break • the tie but would allow iris.

Club meeting. will be held' •I'onday,
March'14th at 8:00. ' The Club meeting
has been changed from the second Tues-
day for this month only due- to• the
hall being•used for election on $arch
8th.
The Club is having a St. Iatricks
Day Party on Saturday,• March 19th at
9:00 in the Community Hall for'.memhers
and their guests. There u ll`be a
donation of 5cv. eaehe uit'z music by
records. Iembers are to bring sand-
wiches for themselves and their guests..
The Club will have -a St. Patrick
luncheon on Thursday March 17th at
12:00 noon, L-bnati;n of .65¢ f r ad-
ults and 25¢ for ch:..d:en. Everyone
is welcome. Ids: Rollers will be host-
ess for •the day. Additional hostesees
are needed. If you are willing to

So. at So. l43rd. The polls will be -
open from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Offices to be filled by election
are as follows: Mayor, three 4 year
Council seats and one 2 year unexpired
seat on the. Council.
On the following two pages we have

would like.to.explain my background of
qualifications.
1 am 28 years old and have been a
'resident of Tukwila for the past 24
years, with the exception of four years
spent in the air force.
I graduated from Foster High School
and have attended, the University of
Wish. for• three years as a bu iness
major. 'I am married and have three
children„ and am self employed in the
business of preservation cf salmon

of the Community Club. hien the An-
nexation of the south valley was in
progress I was a member of the Annexa-.
tion Committee. At the time of Tuk-
wi.lats 50th Anniversary, I ;,es a mem-
ber of the Golden Jubilee Committee.
Recently I became a member of the
Iblice Commission.
Since I had lived in Tukwila for
many -years and knew the Town to be a_
desirable place to live, I decided to
raise my family here. 2 am interested
in the Town of Tukwila, .its problems
and its progress, and in keeping the
City a good and _making it a better
place for your family and mine to.live.
If I am elected to the Council I will
de my best to be deserving of your
trust and consideration.

chill ren, parents, and the general
public.
It has been a privilege to serve on
your planning ecemiesion, we:Acing with
our present ecouncile. town c-£icials,
and femployeeso /Jur council members
make -many sacrifices in time and effort
and I am prepared to make those sacri-
fices for •the continued .good govern-
ment and growth of Tukwila.

garding dogs that are vicious and
troublesome and dogs running at large;

The main reason why I filed for an-
other 4 year term is because we are in
the middle of a big job developing the
Town and I do not want to quit in the
middle of that job.
I consider it a privilege to serve
on the Tukwila Town Council and the
other committies mentioned and will
appreciate your votes on March 8th at
