Council Presuident Sharp called the Tukwila City Council rrieeting to order at 7.010 RM. and led the audience
in, the Pledgee of Allegiance.
OFFICIALS
Present at the rnieeting were Council President Tosh Sharp (on -site), Councilmembers Armen Papyan (on -
site), Mohamed Abdi (on-sitep, Dennis Martinez (on -site), Hannah Hedrick (or-sfte), aind Verna Seal (on -
site).

1, Dave Puke requested information on Councilmeirriber McConnell'absences,
2, Josh Castle referenced the events at the Department of Homeland Security facility in Tukwila on
June 14, 2025, and emphasized the importance of protecting Tukwlia, residents.
3, Kate huller urged the Council to, install speed bumps on South 1241h, Street in the A[lentown,
neighborhood,
4, Peggy McCarthy expressed concern and asked questions regarding a contract for financ4l
software that was presented at a recent Finance and Governance Committee Meeting.
5, Jane Ho requested assistance with false alarm fees on behalf of a local business owner,
6, Joe Duff iie provided comments regarding the recent annual Jiuneteenth celebration,
7, Vick Tbor thanked the Council and community for participating in Seattle Sikh, Hoops which took
place atFoster High School.
Apneet Sidhu thanked those in, attendance at the recent Seattle Sikh Hoops event,

a. An ordinance amending the City of Tukwila Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) Plan.

Alison Turner, Sustaiinable Transportation Program Mw anager, provided a brief overview of the 2025-2029
Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) Plan update,, which is, required by RCW 70A, 15,40120 and must be
adopted by June 30, 2025,

Council President Sharp asked if there were any clarifying questions from the Council.
The Councilmembers asked clarifying questions regardirg the plan and how it differs from other City
strategic pilars,

REPORTS
a. Mayor
Mayor McLeod shared today is Tulkwila's birthday, as it was of c4lly incorporated on Juine 2, 1908. I-Me
miet with the Tukwfla Metropolitan Pocl District regardlingi their vision for the future, and attended the annual
Juneteeinth event and Seattle Sikh Hoops event.
b. City Council
Courbimember Abdi participated in the annival Juneteenth event and Seattle Sikh Hoops event.
Councilmember Papyan attended thie annual JUneteenth event and meetings with the Tukw0a
Metropolitan Pool District anvil the Highiline Forum. He indicated the Finance and Go,vernaincle Comimiftee
recently forwarded resolutions adopting investment and debt pollicies-
Councilmember Martmez participated in a South County Area Transportation Board meeting that was,
held at Tukwila City Hall, a meeting with the Tukwila Metropolitan Pell District, and the Pugiet Sound Fire
Glovvernance Board meeting. He attended the annual Juneteenth event and Seattle Sikh Hoops event,
Coun0imember Hedrick attended the annual Jluneteenth event and an exhibit preview at the Museum of
Flight, She shared the KaB,ocm! Playground replacement project has been narrowed down to 2 designs.
Councilmember Seal attended the Puget Sound Fire Governance Board rineefing, the annual Juneteenth
celebration, a Southend Indivisible meetnig, and the Seattle Sikh Hoops event,
Council, President Sharp, participated 0 the annual Jluneteeinith celebration and the Seattle Sikh I iocips
event. He offered a reminder regarding the upcoming City Council rnee0ng recess and asked the
community to slay safe and be considerate of neighbors during the July 01 holiday.
c. Staff
Marty Wine, City Administrator, referenced COUn6imember Seal's, comments regarding 1$t Amendirrient
audits, and shared staff have received some t4ining in preparation

Councilmiembe,r Seal offered comments regarding having asylum seeker resources available at City Hall.
She asked for clarification regarding meetingi procedures to call!, upon Cou nic! I members to speak,
Council President Sharp asked for further information regarding maintenance at the Old City Halt facility.
He referenced earlier comments regarding CouncilImember McConnell's absence, and indicated a
response would be forthcoming.
