• Icebreaker Activity for Commissioners to Continue to Get to Know One Another
Commissioners learned more about each other's perspectives.
• Tukwila Community Leadership Initiative
Commissioners received a report on the seven -week program that brings community
members and city leadership together to exchange information. Through an application
process a cohort was selected based on their connection to Tukwila and interest in
making positive changes. Participants learn how local government works, share their
experiences, and develop skills for community involvement. This is the first year the
program is bilingual - offered in English with Spanish interpretation.
• Youth Commissioner Application
Hamdi Diriye, a high school junior, applied for the youth position and will be
recommended to the Mayor for appointment. Commissioners reviewed Hamdi's
responses to the Board & Commission Application.

• 2024 ESJC Workplan Tasks and Updates
The December ESJ Commission meeting will include a discussion about 2025 priorities
and will take place at Billy Baroo's Restaurant.
