NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the City of Tukwila, Washington at
the Office of the City Clerk, in Tukwila City Hall, 6200 Southcenter Boulevard, Tukwila, Washington
98188, up to the hour of 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025. Bids will be opened and publicly
read aloud at 10:00 a.m. on that same day, Thursday, August 21, 2025.
Bids can be mailed to Tukwila City Hall OR dropped off in-person by 9:30 a.m. the day the bids are
due. Tukwila City Hall is open to the public Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Bids may be dropped at the front counter at the Office of the City Clerk, located inside Tukwila City
Hall. It will be the bidder’s responsibility to ensure mailed bids are received by the City before the
submittal deadline. Proposals received later than the submittal deadline will not be accepted. The
City will not be liable for delays in delivery of proposals due to handling by the U.S. Postal Service or
any other type of delivery service. Faxed or emailed submittals will not be accepted.

The Work to be performed within 75 working days from the date of Notice to Proceed consists of
furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and other work or items incidental thereto for the
Tukwila Urban Center Conveyance Inspection project.
The Tukwila Urban Center Conveyance Inspections Tukwila Urban Center Conveyance
Inspection project shall include, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor and equipment, necessary
to robotic Closed Circuit Television Inspection (CCTV) of a portion of the City’s Stormwater
Conveyance System. The portion to be inspected consists of approximately 18,750 linear feet of
piping and 186 known drainage structures and is located in Public Right-of-Way. The contractor shall
be responsible for providing CCTV for the entire system and possible tasks including mobilization,
spot cleaning of accumulated debris to allow for inspection, removal and disposal of any such
debris, and traffic control. The time of completion for the contract is 75 working days from issuance
of notice to proceed. The engineer’s estimate for this project is in the range of $250,000 to $300,000.

Each bid shall be in accordance with the bid documents available free of charge on-line through
Builders Exchange of Washington, Inc. at http://www.bxwa.com. Click on: “bxwa.com,” “Posted
Projects,” Public Works,” “City of Tukwila,” and “Projects Bidding.” Bidders are encouraged to
“Register as a Bidder” in order to receive automatic email notification of addenda and to be placed
on the “Bidders List.” This service is provided free of charge to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and
Vendors bidding this project. Contact Builders Exchange of Washington at (425) 258-1303, should
you require further assistance.
All bid proposals shall be submitted according to the Information for Bidders and be accompanied
by a bid proposal deposit in the form of a cash deposit, certified or cashier's check, postal money
order, or surety bond made payable to the City of Tukwila, for a sum not less than five percent (5%)
of the amount of such bid, including sales tax. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such a
contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bonds within the time stated in the
specifications, the bid deposit/bond shall be forfeited to the City of Tukwila.
The City of Tukwila hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contracts
entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full
opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the
grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any informalities in the bidding and
make the award as deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
The City understands that there may be delays in procurement and delivery of materials. Based
upon documentation of delivery times at the time of material submittal reviews, the City may
suspend and/or extend the working days to accommodate the delivery sc hedule.
