REGULAR MEETING
Mayor McLeod called the RegUliar Meeting of the Tukwila City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. and led the
audience in the Pledge of Allegiance

Jennifer Marshall, Deputy City Clerk, called the roll of the Council. Present at the meefing were
Counciimernbers Mohamed Abdi (virtual), Armen Papyan (on -site), Dennis Martinez (on-s1e), Hannah

1. Joe Duffie requested Council continue to support the Tukwila Snack Pack Programwith the Tukwila
School District. tie also encouraged voter participation.
2Cynthia Chiesak, Tukwila Library, Advisory Board Member provided an update on the board! including
their accomplishments and goals,
3. Mary Sue Houser spoke on behalf of the King County Library Systenioutlining the sun irner reading
opportunities and outreach to encourage literacy for all ages,
4 Russell Lebert requested! the Council do more to protect the community from the Irringiration and
Custom Enforcement (ICE),
5, Robert Neuiffe'r suggested city boards and commissions be allowed to present outvde of publlic
comment and requested the City (protect our citizens.
6 Greg Sherlock expressed concern with the potential tax increases discussed at the Work Session and
requested reduced spending.
