The regular meeting of The Town, Council of The Town of Tukwila.
was called to order at 8 PM by Mayor J.P. Walkup. Councilmembers
present were: J.R. Naylor, Carl Lee, Ed George, D .S .Duggan.
Minutes of previous meeting were read and accepted.
Current Wills were read and a. orations wa.s made and carried that they
be paid.

The question of water hookups were discussed and the decision made
that if a trailer be hooked up to a hose or pipe connection a charge
of $1.50 be made.
Bluff Street was talked over and Mr. Naylor, Lee and George were asked to
investigate and report at next meeting.
Mr. Munroff requested a larger water connection at his plant. A motion
was made and carried that he be connected up at present premises with
an 1.5" meter. Owner to pay cost of material used and the Town to
furnish installation for old meter. Motion made by Mr. Naylor seconded
by Mr. George.
A request was made by Mr. storey as to whether the town has any objections
to his leasing South 143rd Place and South 58th Street from the Puget Sound
Power and Light Company. A motion was made by Mr. Naylor and seconded by Mr. Lee
that the Clerk write a letter to Mr. Conroy of the decision. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Mr. Naylor to grant Mr. Wilson a permit to build a
suitable and neat house on his premises. Seconded by Mr. Lee carried.
It was decided to insure the truck again for fire and theft property
damage. Clerk was asked to inquire of other companies as to prices.
The resignation of Eli Thomsen was read and accepted, and the Clerk was
asked to write Mr. Thomsen and thank him for his years of service.
A motion was made and carried that the resolution from the State Highway
Department regarding the painting of the Highway be signed and sent in.
Treasurer's report was read and placed on file.
Water Superintendent report was read and accepted.
A motion was made by Mr. Naylor to the effect that if the bill wer enot
paid that meter must be turned off. Seconded by Mr. Lee Carried.
Mayor Walkup talked on Civilian defense and asked for any suggestions.
Mr. Fouty offered his services as a warden or First aid help.
Permission was given to purchase 2 dozen chairs for Town Hall.
A motion to adjourn was made at 10 PM.
