Commissioners learned more about each other.
• 2025 Work Plan Updates
Relationship building in the community:
• Juneteenth Debrief — Mr. Duffie reinforced the positive impact of this year's event
• Councilmember Engagement — Kathy Hougardy and CM Hedrick
• Veteran's Day —Jo Anderson and Joe Duffie
Awareness, Forums, Trainings:
• Community Health & Air Quality Awareness — Lina and Aaron reported on the event,
including that 152 air purifiers from King County Public Health were distributed.
• Racial Restrictive Covenants — Aaron Draganov and Kristen Schwabe -Fry
• Know Your Rights — Red Card Distribution (see attached)
Commissioners discussed Immigration and Customs Enforcement activities. It was noted
that incidents are underreported due to fear. Further discussion included increasing the

Council's awareness of the impact on Tukwila residents and other educational efforts.
