1. Call to Order — Meeting called to order at 10:03am by Vice Chair Terra Straight.
2. Approval of Agenda — Andrew Hays moved to approve the January 18, 2024 meeting
agenda. Terra Straight seconded the motion. All in favor; motion carried.
3. Approval of Minutes — Andrew Hays moved to approve the November 16, 2023 meeting
minutes. Julie Herdt seconded the motion. All in favor; motion carried.
4. Member Changes —All Members
Board members officially recognized the annual transition of Vice Chair Terra Straight to
become the new chairperson. Terra Straight nominated Andrew Hays as the new Vice Chair.
All members voted in favor of the nomination. Stacy Hansen shared that we need to fill two
vacant roles on the Board.
5. 2024-2025 Funding Cycle Discussion — Stacy Hansen, Human Services Program Coordinator
Agencies new to funding need to meet with Human Services staff to discuss their program
and application requirements. Funding applicants must share how they determine Tukwila
residency. School -based programming must submit a letter of support from the school
district. There is no minimum funding amount, however, there will be a maximum request of
$50,000.
6. 2024 Board Work Plan —All Members
Board members presented possible funding cycle meeting dates for reviewing applications.
Dates will be confirmed at the March meeting. Board members proposed that there be
agency presentations in October from Bridge Ministries Medical Equipment Program and St.
Vincent de Paul's Centro Rendu (following funding cycle activities).
