• Ice Breaker Activity to Continue to Get to Know One Another
Commissioners learned more about each other.
• HealthPoint Clinic Phase I Update — Sundeep Malhi, HealthPoint Patient Experience &
Community Engagement Manager
Commissioners received information about the project, newly name `Tukwila
Commons.' The clinic will be a one -stop -shop for behavioral and mental health care,
medical, dental, and pharmacy. The clinic will include urgent care and childcare as well
as space for lease. Handout attached.

• Pride Month
The City to hold a Pride Flag Ceremony on Monday, June 9, 12pm, City Hall Flagpole.
This is an internally focused event for employees, councilmembers, and board
member and commissioners. The program will include a reading of the City's Pride
Month Proclamation by Mayor McLeod, a presentation by the Executive Director of
Entre Hermanos, and a special presentation from a talented community leader.
ESJ Commission approved $300 to support of Showalter Middle School's GSA Pride
event on June 9. The funds will support treats and decor. On behalf of GSA, the
Advisor will be recognized at the June 8 Seawolves Pride Night game.
• Juneteenth, Thursday, June 19, Sullivan Center Plaza
Maryan, Jo, and Mr. Duffie are participating on the planning committee. This year's
theme is Echoes of Freedom: Past, Present & Future. The event will include festive
music and dancing, talented artists and a keynote address from Trish, resources and
giveaways, refreshments, and door prizes! All attendees will receive a beautiful,
commemorative poster.
• World Refugee Day, Saturday, June 28, Foster High School
Jo is representing the City on the partner planning group that includes the
International Rescue Committee, King County Library System, and Wide World for
Refugees. This day honors the courage and determination of the millions of
refugees who have been forced to flee their homelands due to war, persecution, or
natural disasters. This free event is open to the public and features multiple
performances from around the world, vendor and resource tables, children's
activities, multicultural cuisine and more.
• Veteran's Day — Mr. Duffie reported that he and his daughter participated in the
Puget Sound Honor Flight to Washington D.C. He hopes to raise awareness about
such opportunities so more veterans will take advantage.
Awareness, Forums, Trainings:
• Racial Restrictive Covenants — Aaron adapted and shared a document titled 'Long
Range Action Plan for Racial Restrictive Covenants Follow -Up' (attached) with
categories, goals, and recommended actions outlined.
• Know Your Rights — Red Cards are in print; utilizing $300 approved to produce
materials for distribution.

• Support Human Resources Recruitment — HR seeking employee support for outreach
• Equitable Board & Commission Recruitment and Selection — Tabled
VI Miscellaneous
• The City received 300 air purifiers from Public Health — Seattle & King County's Clean Air
Initiative for distribution. Lina and Aaron volunteered to help develop a community
event in partnership with the African Leader Health Board.
• The People's Project is seeking residents for a steering committee to develop a fair
process to encourage ideas and voting among community members on City
improvement projects.
• Jo provide an update regarding Councilmember McConnell.
• Motion approved to cancel the July meeting.
