Dear Stacy,
I am writing to inform you that due to insurmountable financial constraints, Catholic
Community Services will be closing its Emergency Assistance Program. It is the intention
of the program to finalize services, billing, and reporting by October 31, 2025.
This was not an easy decision to come to, and the program has appreciated its long
partnership with the City of Tukwila over many years.
As the program was under a 2-year contract, this letter serves as notice that Catholic
Community Services seeks to terminate the contract with regards to the awarded amount
of $25,000 for 2026. In hopes to reduce impact on the community we serve, we would
strongly recommend that these funds be reallocated to St. Vincent de Paul, who have been
great partners and have long provided similar, important work in King County.
