For customers already subscribed to food &yard
waste collection, Recology will collect your unflocked,
undecorated natural holiday tree on your regular food Er
yard waste service day. For customers not subscribed to
food &yard waste services, please call Recology's
customer service team at 206-944-390o to
schedule a free pickup of your holiday tree.

- All decorations are removed from your tree.
-Your tree is no longer than 6 feet in length.
- Your tree is out on your scheduled day of service.

Yard Waste Drop-off
Nature's autumn colors? Just
lovely. Mounds of dead leaves
in your yard? Not so much. On
November 9, the City held a free
yard waste drop-off event at
the Tukwila Community Center.
Over four tons of material was
collected from residents and
then composted!
Shred-A-Thon
On Novemberi6, Tukwila's Public Works and Police
Departments co -hosted the free drive -through Shred-a-Thon
event in the parking lot at the Community Center. Residents
used this opportunity to combat identity theft by shredding
their personal documents. Approximately 75 vehicle loads
brought in about 2,00o pounds of paper to be shredded.
Also during this event, twenty
games and $25o in gift cards
were were donated in support of
Tukwila's Spirit of Giving program!
