A. Gambling Tax
• Current rate of 11% established in 2019-2020 budget
• Current projected year-end is $5M per year from 4 businesses
B. Solid Waste Utility Tax
• Ordinance 2609, adopted 2019, addresses nexus between heavy vehicle
impact to road quality
• Single biggest revenue source for streets capital funds
• Funds Annual Overlay Program, Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program
C. Business License Fee
• 2022 budget $3.2M
• $112 per full-time, $56 per part-time employee, $100 flat fee for outside
contractor
• Impacts 5,000 businesses
• To fund public safety, fee would double to $224 per full-time, $56 per part-
time, and $200 for outside contractor
D. New Business & Occupation Tax
• $3M per year, starting in 2024
• Proposes lowest rates in area at 0.008 and 0.005
• $750K threshold - approximately 675 businesses
• Exempts nonprofits, COrdr0OnoSand sports teams, plus State mandated
