To reach as many people as possible, we use multiple communication channels —from printed materials to digital tools. As social media and online platforms continue to evolve, we are always looking for new and better ways to stay connected with our community. Effective communication is essential to strong community engagement, and we want to ensure we're meeting your needs. That's why we're Launching a short survey to learn how you prefer to receive information from the City. Do you read the Hazelnut? Are our social media channels where you get most of your updates? Do you check our website for information? How do you usually learn about City projects, programs, and services? We invite all Tukwila community members to share their input. Please take a moment to complete the survey and Let us know how we can communicate with you more effectively and your preferred mode of communication. Your feedback will help shape how the City shares information moving forward. • Take our Communications Survey Recology is providing free collection of extra yard waste material from storm debris Tukwila Storril Debris E)(tra Recology Yard Waste Set -Outs King County WASTE ZERO In response to the recent Storm Event, Recology is providing free collection of extra yard waste material of up to ninev-six (96) additional gallons of material for your next two collection cycles, from Monday, December 29th and ending Friday, January 23rd. This is available only to residents subscribed to Food & Yard waste services. As a reminder, please place carts at the curb, 3 feet apart by 7 AM on your service day. Lids must be closed at all times. Each paper/kraft bag is equivalent to 32 gallons Extra yard trimmings can be placed in the following conditions: • A paper/kraft bag • Bundled with twine (not to exceed 4'x2'x2per bundle) • Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) certified compostable bag • For a list of what is accepted in your Food & Yard Waste cart, visit bit.ly/Tukwila-Recology-Guides,com No greater than 4'x2'x2' maximum dimensions. (Equivalent to 32 gal) An example of the total material allowed for placement for collection would be: ix 96 gallon cart, plus 3 craft bags or bundles. Planning Commission Vacancies - Business Representative & Resident Positions Boards, Commissions & Committees Openings Apply today to help make a difference in our community! The Tukwila Planning Commission currently has two vacant positions: a Business Representative and a Resident position. Both positions are for unexpired 4-year terms ending March 31, 2028. Tukwila's Planning Commission hears and makes recommendations on comprehensive planning and zoning.
