Councilmen present were J.R «Naylor, August Thies, Lewis Eggers and Wm. Balsley. The minutes of the January meeting were read and appt ved: as read. The report of the Water Supt. was read and placed on file. The report of the Treasurer was read and accepted. Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid. Current Expense Coll. It was moved and carried that permission be granted. The resignation of Wm..Baisiey,as= councilman, was read and upon motion, accepted. The Mayor reported contacting Mr.Shearer,Dist. Engineer, who is working on the drainage problem. It was moved and carried that Mr.A.Carstensen be appoint- ed to fill out the term of Mr.Balsley. The Mayor appointed Mr..Richard:Maus as Police Judge. Mr. Maus came forward and was sworn in as Police Judge. Vic North, fire Chief, outlined the equipment required by Underwriters. It was moved and carried that the Fire Dept. be authorised to purchase whatever is necessary to complete their equipment. It was moved and carried to approve"Mutual Aid" between Fire Dist.#1,48 and the Town of Tukwila. It was moved and carried that the Town of Tukwila re- imburse the firemen for the fire truck they bought from, the Duwamish Fire Co. Meeting adjourned at 3 :55 271
