of Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor,J.P.Walkup,
at 8 P.M. Councilmen present were A.W.Thies,A.R.Carstensen„
Elmer Wootan,Marvin Chelette and Joe Aliment.
The minutes of the June 3rd. meeting were read and
approved as read. The minutes of the special meeting of
June 20 were read and approved as read.
Current bills were read and upon motuon ordered paid.

The report of the Water Supt. was read and placed on
fille.
Mr.Carstensen presented prices quoted on pipe for new
water mains. It was moved and carried that the report of
the Water Committee, to go ahead with the project of
replacing certain worn water mains, be accepted. It was
moved and carried that Mayor Walkup secure an Engineer,
with the approval of the Council, for this project.
Mr.Thies reported one building; permit issued in June.
Councilmen Aliment,Chelette,Wootan and Carstensen
were named a committee to draw up the necessary Ordinance
for creating a Fire Dept.
Mr.and Mrs. Watkins, from the Tukwila Community Club,
were present and requested action on removing the former
Interurban Right of Way. They were told that all possible
is being done.
