Providing Penalties for the Violation Thereof.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON:
Section 1. That for the purpose of this ordinance, the words
"pin ball machine and game of skill" shall be held and construed to
mean any game for the playing of which a person deposits or pays a coin
or other thing of value.
Sec. 2. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corpora
tion to own, operate or maintain any pin ball machine or game of skill
within the corporate limits of the town of Tukwila, Washington, without
having first secured a license therefor.
Sec. 3. The license provided for in Section 2 hereinabove
shall be obtained from the Clerk of the town of Tukwila after the ap-
plicant has paid the said Clerk the license fee as hereinafter provided.
Sec. 4. Such license shall be issued for the term of one
month, and shall be payable on the first of each month.
Sec. 5. The license fee to be charged for and paid as here
inbefore provided shall be the sum of per month for each and
every machine.
Sec. 6. It is not the purpose of this ordinance to license
any gambling or other machine or illegal machine or device, and this
ordinance shall not operate to repeal any previous ordinance of the
town of Tukwila, Washington, which may prohibit the ownership, operation
or maintenance of any gambling machine or device.
Sec. 7. Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate or
fail to comply with the conditions of this ordinance shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished
by a fine not to exceed $100.00.
