The regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor,J.P.Walkup,
at 8 P.M. Councilmen present were A.W.Thies,A.R.Carstensen,,
Marvin Chelette,Elmer Wootan and Joe Aliment.

Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid.

A letter from the Puget Sound Power Light Co.,
re. the obstruction in the Culvert,was read. Upon motion,
the matter was refered to the Town Attorney.
The Roads committee reported they were working with
the County on the matter.
Ordinance 167,was, upon motion, placed on its
second reading by title only. Upnn motion Ordinance# 167
was placed on its third reading and final passage.
The report of the Water dept. was read and placed
on file.
Mr.Thies reported five building permits issued
during Aug.
The Budget for 1947 was discussed and upon motion
a levy of 10 mills for Town expenses was voted. It was
moved and cabried to have a special meeting on Monday,
September 10,.to further consider the Budget.
Upon motion, Vic North,Fire Chief, was granted a
leave of abscence.
