HomeMy WebLinkAbout1946-12-02 Regular MinutesDecember 2,1946 The regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor, J.P.Walkup, at 8 P.M. Councilmen present were A.W.Thies, A.R. Carstenseb„ Marvin Chelette and Eimer Wootan. The minutes of the November meeting were read and approved as read. Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid« Current Expense Community Hdware store,battery,Fire Dept. 30.90 Pedersen Bros «Motor Co «,chains,Fire Dept« 24.00 Lois T.Newton,salary, November 46.87 Current Street Bob Leahy,labor 10.00 Lewis H.Eggers,salary, November 75.00 King County Road Dist.# 2,road oil,spread 2222.36 Current Water Lewis H.Eggers,salary expense,November 101 «06 Dept. Labor Industry,November insurance 1.62 Marckmann Williams,supplies 24.96 Marckmann Williams, supplies 1.80 City of Seattle Water Dept-October service 269.60 Lois T.Newton,salary expense,November 26 «43. The report of the Water Dept. was read and placed on file. Mr« Ingram of Parker Hill was present and offered the services of that Firm of Engineers in drawing plans for a Street Development and Drainage Project to be financed by Town funds set aside for that oppose and matching funds from the State Development Board« correction below)* It was moved and carried that the Town of Tukwila proceed to utilize the Grant of the Development Board for improving City Streets and curbs. Ordinance 169 was,upon motion,placed on its second reading by title only« Upon motion, Ordinance 169 was placed on its third reading and final passage. Roll call showed Councilmen Thies, Carstensen, Chelette and Wootan each voting Yes. Meeting adjourned at 9 P.M. Mayor -7//1/ 2-4 1 1; Clerk Treas. Mr. Ingram stated that Parker Hill were in error in their statement that Development Funds would be available for revenue producing utilities such as Water Systems.
