A special meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor,J.P.Walkup,
at 8 P.M. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss
the drainage problem of the Town. Councilmen present
were A.W. Thies ,A.R.Carstensen,M.G.Chelette, Elmer Wootan
and Joe Aliment.
In the absence of the Town Clerk the Chair appointed
M.O.Chelette to act as clerk protem.
The drainage was that of the lower lands adjacent to
the Highway and the Foster Golf Links. Since there was no
representative of the Golf Links it was moved and carried
that in the event the plugged culvert under the Interurban
right of way was restored to its former condition,the
Council would be willing to negotiate with the parties in
the flooded area to the end that the flooded condition
could be remedied.
Meeting adjourned at 9 :20 P.M.
