The regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor, J.P.Walkup, at 3 P.M.
Councilmen present were S.D.Minkler,, A.R.Carstensen,M.O Chel-
ette, Elmer Wootan and Joe Aliment« The Mayor invited the
newly elected mayor, Mr.C.O.Baker, and the Councilmen elect,
B.P.Lutes and A.H.Heemink to sit at the Council table.
The minutes of the May meeting were read and approved as read.
Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid.

A letter from Mr.Shearer of the State IIighway Dept was read,
Mr.Shearer again requested the Town to pay an additional amount
for work done on the culvert. The Clerk was instructed to write
the State Dept. the Town feels the original estimate is in order
and the amount set aside covers the job.
A letter from C.O.Mannes relative to the Street Drainage
Project was read.. He recommended the "B" line at a cost of
$1,,496 «21.. Is
The report of the Water Dept.was read and placed on file.
The Treas.report was read and accepted.
Mr.Minkler reported one building permit issued in May.
The resignation of L.H.Eggers as Street L.,Y+ater Supt.was read
and accepted. The resignation of F.E.Ilenke as Town Marshall was
also read and accepted.
The Clerk was instructed to inform itilr.R. Maus that his term
of office as Police Judge ended with that of Mayor Walkup, who
appointed him.
Mayor Walkup administered the oath of office to Mr «C.O.Baker,
the incoming Mayor.. Mr,E.P.Lutes and Mr.A.H.Heemink were sworn
in as Councilmen.
Upon motion the Council adjourned sine die«
