The new Council of the Town of Tukwila was called to order
by the mayor, Chas.O.Baker. Councilmen present were S.D.
Minkler, Joe Aliment, M.O.Chelette, A.H.Heemink and B.P.Lutes.
Mayor Baker, Councilmen Heemink and Lutes spoke briefly of
their plans for the future.
C.W.Shults was appointed Town Marshall and took the oath of
office.
Mayor Baker appointed the following Committees.

A letter from C.V.Fawcett,chairm an of the Executive Committee
of the Association of ++ashington Cities,, was read.It stated the
Pacifier Telephone Telegraph Co.had applied for an increase in
telephone rates to the State tept.. of Public Utilities. It was
moved and carried a resolution of opposition be adopted.
It was moved and carried the recomendation of C.O.Mannes,
Engineer of the Street Development Drainage Project, be adopted
that he prepare the specifications and advertisement and have
them ready for the meeting on July 7,
The Street Committee was asked to investigate the water on
Main Street.
It was moved and Mr.Bohan be allowed water.
