The regular meeting of the Town Council of the Towri of Tukwila
was called to order by the Mayor, Chas.0. baker, at 3 P.M. Council-
men present were Stan Minkler, Joe Aliment, A._`T.Heemink and E.P.
Lutes.
It was moved and carried we dispense with the regular order of
business and take up the opening of bids on the Street and Drain-
age project. Three bids were received and opened, from the Valley
Construction Company, Al Breda and JcCarthy Company. Upon motion,
the bid of Al Breda,for y 2105.00, was accepted, by resolution.
The minutes of the July meeting were read and approved as read.
The minutes of the Special meetin of July 7 were read and approv-
ed with an addition.
Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid.

The report of the Treasurer was read and accepted.
The report of the Water wept. was read and placed on file.
Mr. Minkler reported 5 building permits issued in July.
It was moved and carried building permit 3 _05 sued to Fred
Harding,be revoked, in as much as it was _az der false pre-
tenses. It was recommended that requests to build kennels be
brought before the Council.
Mrs. Lutes reported that, due to lack of transportation for
small children, the jiecreation program at Tukwila Pack has been
ended for this year.

the Town streets last year, to do street grading s
Moved and carried to continue the survey of So.59th. Place at
144th. So.,at the expense of the Town. Roll call showed Stan
1iinkler4c Joe Aliment voting yes; A.F.Heemink voting no, and -.P.
Lutes, not voting.
It was moved and carried the Clerk draw up ah=,Hrdhn.t c. (D, trans
fering the sum of ;11000.00 from the Surplus on hand to the Current
Expense Fund for the following reason. The members of the Tukwila
Volunteer Fire Dept. have declared an emergency exists, in as much
as the funds budgeted for the Fire Dept. have been exhausted and
the equipment they have is inadequate to fight a fire." This DT

Ordinance #170 was, upon motion, placeu onit's second reading,by
title only. Ordinance 170 was, upon :notion, placed on it's third
reading and final passage.
The Mayor appointed Stan Minkler, the council representative on
the Board of Trustees of the Volunteer Firemens' Relief Fund.,
It was moved and carried the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to
sign the contract for the Storm Sewer.
