REPEALED ORD 223
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE STORAGE OF GASOLINE IN THE CITY
OF TUKWILA AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA
SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or
corporation to keep gasoline for use or sale
in the Town cf Tukwila, '7ashington, except in
the manner hereinafter prescribed._
SECTiOIN 2, All gasoline in the amount of five gallons or
less so kept, as aforesaid, shall be stored
in water tight containers, and in a building, or place
sufficiently ventilated to permit the free passage of air
at all times.
SECTION 3, All gasoline in excess of the amount of five
gallons so kept, as aforesaid, shall be stored
in metal tank or containers which shall be buried beneath
the soil to a' depth of two feet between the top of the tank
and the top surface of the soil, and the space between the
top of the tank and the top of surface soil shall be filled
with earth and tamped in.
SECTION 4, Any person, firm or corporation violating the
provisions of this ordinance or any part thereof
may be fined in any sum not excedd i ng One 7undred Dollars,
or be imprisoned in jail not exceeding thirty days, or be
both imprdsoned and fine!., for each offense,
SECTION 5, .^?_I ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
zerewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6, This ordinance shall not apply to licensed achole-
sale distributors operating under State laws,
SECTION 7. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
frog and after its passage and publication as
provided by law,
