COMMITTEE OF THE, WHOLE MEETING
GALL TO ORDERIPLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Council President Papyan called the Tukwila City Councii meeting to order at 700 p.m and led the
audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.
OFFICIALS
Present at the meeting were Council President Armen Papyan (on -site); Councilltnembers Verna Seal (on -
site), Kate Krirller (on -site), Dennis Martinez on -site), annah Hedrick (on-site),,Joe Torres Camacho (ore
site), and Jane Ho (on -site).
LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Councilmember Camacho stated "The City of Tukwila is located on the ancestral lands of the Coast
Salish people. We acknowledge their continuing connections to land, waters and culture. We pay our
respects to their elders past, present and emerging "

Pubic comments were received by the following individuals who spoke in favor of the moratorium
and/urged the Council to take additional action to protect the community from Immigrations & Customs
Enforcement:

Canna Wolf, Carter Means, Fara Wolfson, Max Doggett, Josh Castle, Stephanie Aragon, Ben
Doty, Krysteena Mann, Bob Barnes, Theresa McRae, Colin Caley, Bethany Stackhouse, Perry
Willard, Dominic Driscoll, Lauren Kay, and Sara Duke (remote).

Finance & Governance Committee Chair Councimember Seal indicated this item was reviewed and
unanimously moved forward by the committee.

REPORTS
a. City Council
Councilmemlber Kruller submitted a written report that included meeting attendance for Sound Cities
Association for the Emergency Management Advisory Committee, Rotary Club, South End Indivisibte,
Tukwila Employees Appreciation Event and Rainier Symphony Additional attendance was noted at
the Minority Builders Alliance meeting that emphasized oonnectians between minority and women -
owned businesses to pursue large construction projects. She also attended Senator Bob Hasegawa's
Townhall meeting where he discussed state legislature updates.
Councilmember Seal reported she will be distributing information regarding the Regional Fire
Authority (RFA) Governance Board meeting discussing the draft updates to the 2026 Puget Sound
Regional Authority Plan and items up for voting in the first weekend of March,
b. Mayor
Mayor McLeod reported State Senate and the State House released their proposed transportation
budgets, both of which include $17 million in funding for the 42" Bridge in the upcoming biennium
budget
