HomeMy WebLinkAbout1948-07-13 Special MinutesMeeting adjourned at 9:55. July 13,1948 A Special meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor, Chas. Q. Baker, at 8 P.I. Councilmen present were Stan Minkler, Joe Aliment, Vic North and B,P.Lutes. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss problems of the street and water dept. and to take up the possibility of the annexation of the property occupied by the Golden Arrow Dairy. Mr. Minkler read a statement setting forth methods of financing the replacement of worn out water mains. Mr. Aliment moved these suggestions be mailed to each water consumer with the August 1 st.water bills. Seconded by Mr. i Iotlhh and carried. Mr. Hill,&an engineer from DeWitt C. Griffin Associates, discussed with the Council the work to be done on the struts. Mr. Minkler moved we advertise for bids for this work ,the bids to be opened at a Special meeting on Aug.10,called for this purpose. Seconded by Mr. North anti carried. MAyor Baker reported on a survey made of the asphalt pav- ing on 58 Ave. So. This survey was made by Mr. Jackson from the Washington Asphalt Co.,Mayor Baker,councilman Aliment and ;dr. Warren,street Supt. No report was ready at this time. Mr. Minkler moved that Ordinance No.133, an ordinance pertaining to the annexation of property occupied by the Golden Arrow Dairy,be placed on its first reading.
