HomeMy WebLinkAbout1948-12-06 Regular MinutesDecember 6,1943 The regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Baker, at 6;45 P.M. Councilmen present were Stan Minkler, Joe Aliment and Vic North. The :minutes of the November meeting were read and approved as read. Mr. Carey, attorney for Mr. Harding,was present. He questioned the Council concerning the Kennel Ordinance. It was moved and carried to repeal the Kennel Ordinance t 135 and substitute a new Kennel Ordinance; 133. '_'pon motion, Ordinance 0 183 was placed on its first reading. Upon motion, Ordinance 133 was placed on its second reading by titles only. TTpon .notion, Grdi- nance 133 was placed on its third reading and final passage. In as much as Mr. Gilbert is by contract forbidden to remove his trailer from the property upon which it is located, it was moved and carried it be allowed to remain there until payment is completed. Mrt Minkler reported one i-uilding permit issued in Nov. Mr. Louie Metier requested formal approval of the building he is erecting on Sp. 144th. It was moved and carried to spread on the minutes of tale Dec. meeting of the Town Council the fact that Mir. Mettler has obtained the signatures of all residents near his shop, such residents stating their willingness to have such a shop built;-moreover he has obtained notorized easements from property owners adjacent, which easements are on file with the Town Clerk. Mr. Aliment reported on the Washington Flood Control Committee, of which he is a member. He stated a committee is being sent to Washington D.C. to solicit aid. It semms probable a dam will be built within 3 years. It_ Aims mtved and carried to purchase 600 ft.of 12 in.. tile for the east side of 56th. Ave. So. between So.144 and So. 142nd., payment to be made from this year's budget. It was moved and carried to revise the Town's election Ordinance and present it at the 'ext meeting. Mr. Don Eggers announced a Christmas Party for children, spon- sored by the kire Dept., to be held on Dec .19. 159 December C,194: (continued). It was moved and carried to advertise for bids on a few truck for the Town, bids to be opened on Jan.3,1949. It was moved and carried to set the hour of 7 P.M. for the opening of the Jan.3rd. meeting for the reading of the bids on the Truck.
