Hinkler, Joe Aliment, Vic :forth ana A.R. Hee:nink.. Bids on a new Town truck were received and opened. line bids were presented. The bid of Frank L. Rhodes of CO2 Third Ave., Renton, being the lowest and most satisfactory, was accepted. The bid called for a 1949 Studebaker 11 Ton Chassis and cab Galion Model GH -56 hoist and Body with tires and equipment listed in the specifications. The price is TM, 2174.36 The minutes of the regular meeting of Dec. 6,1942 were read and upon motion approved.as read. Mr. Harding requested an extension of 30 days to close his dog kennel. Upon :motion, his requested was granted. Mri Don Pollock offered to write an insurance policy on the Town Hall It was .roved and carried to insure the Town Hall and the Fire }/gall in the General Insuranc Co.,carrying .;;2,000.00 on each. cam+ a( 1, t) U z) 4m-^ Current bills were read and upon notion ordered paid. Upon motion this easement was granted. Mr. Anderson proposed his lawyer draw up tne easement. Mr. Minkler reported one building permit granted in ?)ec. Upon motion, cdIr. Slaae was auth :prized to buy brackets for new Town Entrance signs. Upon motion, Ordinance V 129, relating to election procedure, was placed on its first reading. Upon motion, the date of Jan.17 between 7 2. 7.30, was chosen as the time for the election caucus. 155 Jan.3,1949(continued) A petition with 30 signatures was presented, asking the Town Council to force the Tukwila �,uarry to cease operations, because of damage to homes and extreme danger to life from flying rocks. The Clerk was asked to write both Mr. Morgan's Insurance CO. and that of the Monroe Construction Co. ,report- ing, this complaint;. and to contact the State Safety Inspector, of the Dept. of Labor L Industries. 11r. Fouty, chairman the petitioners, stated he will hold the petition in abeyance if Mr. Morgan complies with safety requirements. Vic North presented his resignation as councilman.
