O. ±;a=ver, at P.:I Councilmen present were Stan I'Iinkler, Joe Ali:lent,A.Il.Ileemink, A.W.Thies and E.K.Sciford.. Mr.Garland T. Jewell and :Ir.lmer Wootan,Councilmen elect were also present at the Council table. The minutes of the :,;arch meeting, were read and ap,)roved as read. 'IThe petition ._J..P.Walkup requesting the vacation of a certain partiontof So.'_. th:, street,. was heard. There being no objection to the petition for the vacation of the street mentioned above, Ordinance No. 193, an ordinance vacating certain portion of So.149th. street, was, upon motion, placed on its first reading. Bids on cast iron pipe,fittings and hydrants were received and opened. Bids were submitted by the following; Hugh Pursell Co,, Johns Manville, Palmer Supply Co.,Western _Ttilities,.N.Ilallgren,C:. Pacific Water Works Supply Co,.,, The bid of the western Utilities, of w 9856.19, meeting best the requirements set forth in the call for bids, was, upon motion, accepted. The bid of E.N.Hallgren Co. was in second place. Councilmen Minkler, Heemink and Aliment were appointed to arrange for the transportation of the pipe. A letter from Mr. Sampson re the Cu.zmlative Ordinances was read. A letter re the bill of the Highway Dept. for r, 123.33, over the amount specified in Resolution No.60, was read. It was moved and carried Resolution No.70 be adopted, authorizing the State Auditor to reserve from monthly fuel tax allotments the above specified sum. 141 Upon motion, Ordinance No.194, an ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 139 was place on its first reading. T'pon motion ordinance No.194 was placed on its second reading by title only. motion, Ordinance No. 194 was placed on its third reading and final passage. Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid.
