Councilmen present were Stan Minkler, Joe Aliment, A.W.Thies, Elmer Wootan and G.T.Jewell. The minutes of the meeting of May 1st. were read and approved as read. The minutes of the Special meeting of Aiay 15 were read and approved as read. Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid Current Expense Home Hardware,supplies for town hall 2.23 American Surety Co. of N.Y.,premium on bond for Marshall 5.00 R.J.Hemstedt,battery fire dept. 17.77 Roy Rector,fire Chief,timbers bought from Parmelee 17.50 Seattle P.I.,ad for fire dept. 4.13 Seattle Times,ad for fire dept. 5.60 M.G.Slade,park supt.salary May 56.95 Lois T. Newton, salary May and expense 71.95 Green River Lumber Co.,plaster board etc.for town hall 13.43 Alfred G. Seattle Water Dept.,water Apr. M.G.Slade,supt. salary May Lois T. Newton,salary May expense The report of the Treas. was read and accepted. The report of the water dept. was read and placed on file. Mr. Minkler reported 5 building permits issued in y• Mr. Aliment reported on the progress of work on flood control. It was moved and carried to postpone action on Ord.No.201. Mayor Baker reported 447.00 had been collected for the :arch of Dimes. He complimented the storekeepers for their help. He also reported the well behind the Heemink property had been filled.
