HomeMy WebLinkAbout1951-01-02 Public Caucus MinutesJanuary 2,1951 In accordance with Ordinance No.189, of the Town of Tukwila, Washington, a public caucus was held in the Town Hall. The meeting was called to order by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Baker at7:30 p.m. Mayor Baker called for nominations for a Chairman and Secretary of the Caucus. Chas. Shults was elected Chairman and Mrs. Newton was elected Secretary. Mr. Mettler, Bryan and Mrs. Hamilton were appointed tellers. It was moved and carried the candidates be nominated from the Peoples Party. Chas. O. Baker was nominated for Mayor for a 4 year term. There being no further nominations it was moved and carried nominations be closed. Mr. Baker received the nomination. G.T.Jewell and Rudolf W. Regel were nominated for Council- men for a 2 year term. There being no further nominations it was moved and carried nominations be closed. Mr. Jewell and Mr. Regel received the nominations. Upom motion, meeting adjourned at 8 P.M. Lois T. Newton,Clerk 77
