HomeMy WebLinkAbout1951-03-05 Regular MinutesMarch 5,1951 The regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Baker, at 8 P.M. Councilmen present were Stan Minkler, Joe Aliment, A.W. Thies, Elmer Wootan and G.T.Jewell. The minutes of the meeting of February 5th. were read and approved as read. A letter from the Claims Officer of the Air Force relative to damage to a Town road at the time of the Plane crash was read. It was moved and carried to proceed with the claimm Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid. The report of the water dept. was read and placed on file. Mr. Minkler reported 2 building permits issued in February. It was suggested the clerk write Mr. Evans ,engineer of the south district re the damagecaused by the recenI flood to pro erty in Tukwila.. Mr. Zehner,Fire ChieS, and other members of the fire dept. discussed the need of a larger siren. Mayor Baker appointed Mrs Jewell,Stan Minkler, Mr. Zehner,Mr. Hemstedt and Mr. Watkins a committee to work on the problem and bring back a report. Meeting adjourned at 10 :15 a,r Chas.
