HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0144 - 1936 BudgetORDINANCE NO. 144 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE BUDGET FOR THE *YEAR 1936 FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE CURRENT MUNICIPAL EXPENSES AND PROVIDING FOR THE REDEMPTION OF BONDS AND FOR THE PAYMENT OF INTEREST THEREON. WHEREAS, the council of the Town of Tukwila, King County, Washington, at a regular meeting thereof, held the third day of October, 1935, made the following estimate of ex- penditures and receipts from all sources other than direct taxa- tion upon the real and personal property of the said Town of Tukwila for the ensuing year of 1936. ESTIMATE OF EXPENDITURES A- Operating and Maintenance of Expense: Treasurer's Salary 75.00 Clerk's Salary 120.00 Marshall's Salary 10.00 Bonds of Officials 15.00 Hall Rent 45.00 Printing and Postage 60.00 Elections 40.00 State Examiner 50.00 Street Repair 626.46 B- Redemption of Debt: 1919 Bond Sinking Fund $500.00 1928 600.00 1919 Bond Interest 210.00 1928 513.00 ESTIMATED RECEIPTS A- Motor Vehicle Fund 626.46 B- State Liquor Apportionment (Est.) 100.00 C- General Taxation 2138.00 $1041.46 $1823.00 $2864.46 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TO COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA: SECTION 1. That for the purpose of raising funds with which to pay the expenditures as above enumerated to- gether with the redemption of debt for the Town of Tukwila for the ensuing year 1936, there shall be certified to the County Assess of King County, Washington, the sum of Two Thousand One Hundred Thirty -eight Dollars ($2138.00) as the amount to be raised by general taxation upon the real and personal property embraced within the corporate limits of the Town of Tukwila as shown by the assess- ment rolls of King County for the year of 1935. SECTION 2. THAT THIS ORDINANCE shall take effect and be in full force from and after 1-ts passage and publication.
