HomeMy WebLinkAbout1951-09-04 Regular MinutesSeptember 4,1951 The regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Baker, at 3 P.M. Councilmen present were Stan Minkler, F'.A.Grabner, G.T.Jewell and Rudolf R. Regel. The minutes of the meeting of August 6 were read and approved as read. A lwtter regarding printing of Civil Defense cards was read. The Mayor requested Mr. Slade investigate another printer. Letters from R.G.Zehner, Fire Chief, were read. TLie Clerk re- ported cards were sent out with the correct phone numbers to call for Town officials. It was moved and carried to obtain the signs requested. It was suggested the Clerk ask the Fire dept. to be present at the October meeting to discuss a Cumulative Reserve Ordinance for the Fire dept., and to make suggestions regarding other =matters in which the firemen are interested. The Clerk was asked to write Mr. Schwind that the Town will need to know the property lines and must have a deed of the property to be given for the widening of the street before work can be done.. It was moved and carried that water users who are delinquent in payment of bills shall be notified that such bills must be paid in full within 30 days after delinquent date or water will be shut off. Speeding of autos in Town was discussed. Mr. Slade was asked to work with Mr. Shults in securing warning tickets, red lights and siren for his car, and to bring back a report to the October meting. Ordinance 203, the Business o .dinance, was upon motion, placed on its second reading by title only. Ordinance if 203 was placed on its third reading and final passage. T Clerk was asked to notify all places of business in Town Ordiianceui budget for 1952, was,upom motion, placed on its first reading.
