This meeting will be held in person and on Teams in the Executive Conference Room at the Tukwila Community Center,

Sherry Williams, VP Community Engagement and External Relations, HealthPoint Administration
• Public Art Collaboration at the new HealthPoint Tukwila Commons
o HealthPoint is now ready to discuss the inclusion of art in the facility.
They are looking for guidance from the commission. A vision. Choosing the type of art.
Pat Bako: a budget needs to be determined. A person to lead the process.
Michael May: will send Beth Gahan’s contact to Sherry, and the contact for the new METRO
electrified bus facility.
Pinky Estell: dynamic installations will keep the space fresh.
HealthPoint possesses the keys to the hotel rooms. There is a desire to create an art piece from
these found items.
Pinky: Connect with Urban Artworks and Path With Art.

o Portrait Project Update (Sheila Coppola): Equity and Social Justice Commission assistance with
recruitment.
Sheila Coppola, Jo Anderson, and Michael May met with the Tukwila Historical Society to
help identify community members to identify.
Next Steps: Sharon Nakata has been identified as the next portrait honoree.
• An artist will be identified at the next meeting.
o Mayoral Grant Program Update (Pat Bako): Number of grants and amount.
Michael will reach out to the Mayor’s Office.
