HomeMy WebLinkAbout1952-01-07 Regular MinutesJanuary 7,1952 The regular meeting of the Town council of the Town of Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor, Chas. 6. Baker, at 8 P.M. Councilmen present were Stan Kinkier, G.T.Jewell and Rudolf Hegel.. Since F.A.Grabner had moved from the Town his seat on the Council was, upon motion, declared vacant. Mr. Arland G. Radford was nomi- nated and elected to fill this vacancy. Mayor, Chas.° Baker admin- istered to him the oath of office and he took his place at the Council table. The minutes of the meeting of Dec.3,1951 were read and approved as read. The minutes of the special meeting of Dec.17 were read and ap- proved as read. A letter from Don Pollack re insurance coverage was read. L letter from the County Prosecuting Attorney answering an inquiry from the Town Clerk, and promising assistance in solving health problems in Town, was read. Also a letter from the County Health Dept. in regards to the same matter. Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid. The report of the Water dept. was read and placed on file. Mr. Minkler reported 2 building permits issued in Dec. A letter from Heberling Amusement Co., in which they stated they would be unable to pay the Master License fee of 000.00 in 1952, was read. The Clerk stated she had written them inviting them to the January meeting of Council. No representative uus present. It was mdcved and carried the Council abide by the pro- visions o ordinance #176 and a letter be sent to the Heberling Amusement t this effect, giving them until January 15 to comply with the provisions of the ordinance.. It was moved and carried Ord. 206 be repealed and a substitute ordinance presented at the Feb.meeting, the same action applying to ordinance# 195. Meeting adjourned at 9:40 Chas. 6.
