HomeMy WebLinkAbout1952-02-04 Regular MinutesFebruary 4,1952 The regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor, Chas. O. Baker, at 8 P.M. Councilmen present were Stan Minkler, A.W.Thies, G.T.Jewell,Rudolf W. Hegel and A.G.Hadford. The minutes of the meeting of January 7 were read and approved as read. The minutes of the Special meeting of Jan. 15 were read and approved as read. Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid. Current Expense Pacific Tel.& Tel. Co.,phone fire dept. Mr. Minkler reported 2 building permits issued in Jan. Mr. Radford reported,representing the School Advisory Council, on progress on new High School. Mr. Radi'nrd Mr. Jewell were appointed to work with Mr. Slade on improving lighting on highway. Ordinance No.211,relating to operation of motor vehicles, was placed on its first reading. Upon motion, ord. #211 was placed on its second reading by title only. Upon motion, Ord.# 211 was placed on its third reading and final passage. Ordinance 212. relating to Police Judge, was, upom motion, placed on its first reading. Upon motion, Ord. 212 was placed on its second reading by title only. Upon motion, Ord. 212 was placed on its third reading and final passage. It was move and carried to continue Town blanket insurance with the Firm of Greer Edmiston. TilevtititWttidA i$s. It was moved and carried to repeal and revise O-rd.# 176, the pin ball ordinance. 31 It was moved and carried to repeal and revise Ord. 207, relating to the Town igarshal. Mayor Chas.0. Baker appointed Mr. Nick Heinz as Town Marshal. This appointment was upon motion confirmed biy members of the Council.. Mayor Baker administered to Mr. Heinz the oath of office. Mr. Minkler, Regel and Radford were appointed to work with the Marshal regarding traffic and safety needs in the Town. Meeting adjourned at 9 :50 February 4,1952 continued. Chas. O.
