Greyhound Bus. Co. discussed with the Council and citizens
present the proposed change in zone names. Mr. Clayton's
appearance at this meeting was the resultFlof a letter Mayor
Baker had written to the Bus Co.,protesting this change..
As the outcome of this discussion the area from Valley St. to
Renton Junction will be under the zone name of Tukwila- Foster.
The Special meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to
order by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Baker, at 8:45 P.M. Councilmen
present were Stan Minkler, A.W.Thies, G.T.Jewell, Rudolf W.Regel
and A.G.Radford.
The purpose of the meeting was to review Water problems and
the budget for 53.
The loss of water in the river was discussed at lenhh. The
possibility of a complete break was noted also. After much care-
ful- thought and discussion it was moved and carried to advertise
for bids for labor to replace approximately 300 ft. 6 in.O.D.
pipe across the Duwamish river.
It was moved and carried the Clerk prepare an 0rd.,declaring
an emergency and placing 4 of water funds in the budget
to pay for the replacement of the pipe in the river.
Meeting adjourned at 9 :40.
