HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0142 - 1935 Budget ORDINANCE NUMBER 142 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 1935 FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE CURRENT MUNICIPAL EXPENSES AND PROVIDING FOR THE REDEMPTION OF BONDS AND FOR THE PAYMENT OF INTEREST THEREON* WHEREAS, the council of the Town of Tukwila, King County, Washington, at a regular meeting thereof, held the sixth day of September, 1934 made the following estimate of expenditures and receipts from all sources other than direct taxation upon the real and personal property of the said Town of Tukwila for the ensuing year of 1935. ESTIMATE OF EXPENDITURES A. Operating and maintenance of expenses: Clerk's salary $120.00 Treasurer's salary 75.00 Marshal's salary 10.00 Bonds for officials 15.00 Hall rent 40.00 Printing and Postage 40.00 Elections 40.00 State Examiner 50,00 Street repair '500.00 B. Redemption of debt: 1919 bond sinking fund 1928 bond sinking fund 1919 bond interest 1928 bond interest 1200.00 600.00 4890.00 225.00 541.50 p566.5© ESTIMATED RECEIPTS A. General taxation $2456.50 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUN- CIL OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA: SECTION 1. That for the purpose rais- ing funds with which to pay the expenditures as above emunerated together with the redemption of debt for the Town of Tukwila for the ensuing year 1935, there shall be certi- fied to the County Assessor of King County, Wash- ington, the sum of Two Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Six Dollars and Fifty one hundreds (2456.50) as the amount to be raised by general taxation upon the real and personal property embraced within the corporate limits of the Town of Tukwila as Shown by the assessment rolls of King County for the year of 1934. SECTION 2. THAT THIS ORDINANCE shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and publication.
